The Girl Who's Behind It All

hat's shaking? 'Ello there, my name's Alezendretta; pronounced "elle-ez-en-dretta". I know what you're thinking right now. "What a wierd name, this Elle-dretta girl has.." and I have to agree with you. To be quite honest, I couldn't pronounce my name correctly until I was about 6 years old. My parents ended up giving me the nickname Dretta when I was about 4 years old. It was alot easier for both me and my friends to remember, so it just kind of stuck. I've been living with my awkward name since I was born, on the Halloween of 1996, which makes me 11 years old.

As with most other preteens, my life is basically a balance between my friends, family, and school. My friends and family are always there for me, encouraging me to do better and always willing to be there for me. School is school; just something everybody has to go through. I have to admit though, my friends make school a heck of alot more fun. They can make me laugh and feel more relaxed at the drop of a pencil. I'm really grateful to have such a neat group of friends. :D

I have alot of hobbies, but the ones I've had for the longest are piano, photography, and graphic design. I've played piano for almost 8 years now, and have taken 3 CM (Certificate of Merrit) tests. I overall rank a 5- (with the highest of 5+) for my age group. As for photography, I've been taking pictures since my mom got a disposable camera for a kindergarten field trip to the zoo. I took it from her purse and started to take pictures of all the interesting animals. To her and my surprise, the pictures actually turned out very good. Well, and graphic design.. My proof is right here in this site. I started about 3.5 years ago when I was 8 years old. I opened a freewebs site and went from there, slowly perfecting my skills.
