Fonts are a very interesting part of the graphic; they can change the entire "mood" of the piece
dramatically, because text is one of the first things that people see on a main image. When you
first get a computer and upload all of the nescessary items onto the hard disk so the computer
can work, there are already some fonts. But you want to be special; having some other font you found
on a cool site. How do you get the font? Well.. Stay tuned.
Step .001
First thing's first: Get a font! Alot of sites provide them, but I like
DaFont and 1001 Free Fonts. I'm going
to download redensek from DaFont.
Step .002
Most sites offer both a PC and a Mac download. Depending on your computer, download the one appropriate
for your computer. Ok, so I clicked download. You want to save the file in a folder easily
accessible, such as "My Doccuments". You might have to wait a second while it downloads.
Step .003
Find the font. Right click on the icon, then go to "Extract all". A window will pop up, and keep on
pressing "next" until the process ends in which you should press "Finnish".
Step .004
Another window will pop up having an icon looking similar to this:
Don't close this window!
Step .005
Go to Start>Control Pannel>Appearance and Themes, then on the left hand sidebar, there is an option
that says "Fonts". open that and you should see all the fonts you currently have.
step .006
Open your window with the font icon and minimize the window. Now, drag the font icon from the extracted
folder to the "Fonts" window you opened. A box will come up and the font will be added to the list. Now
you can use it!
NOTE GIMP USERS: If you've already had the program out before the font has loaded, you need to
go to: File>Dialogs>Fonts. Then, click the refresh button at the bottom of the new window.
You should now be able to use it. :D

Welcome
... to the second home of a questionably sane American teenager.
Look through what's become of her boredom, and eventually you'll find
something you like.
Hi there, you can call me Alex. I'm just your abnormal American teenager.
I like show tunes, indie music, photography, tea, and just about every
bright color you can think of.
What else could you ever so possibly want to
know?
